My Neighbor Is Way Too Perverted-: -summer Speci...

It’s 11 PM. My window is open for a breeze. From next door comes… heavy breathing. Moaning. Rhythmic slapping.

Here’s the blog post:

In the webtoon and manga ecosystem, a "Summer Special" or "Vacation Special" serves several specific storytelling and marketing purposes: My Neighbor Is Way Too Perverted- -Summer Speci...

The game is hosted on platforms like itch.io and Patreon .

“I’m vegan now,” I lied.

By this scale, Joe is a high-functioning Level 4. He is "way too perverted" not because of explicit content, but because of the precision of his observations. He knows Haruki’s blood type because he "analyzed the discarded cotton swabs from the trash chute." He apologizes for this later: "I thought you were anemic."

“He is!” I whispered, mortified. “This is new!” It’s 11 PM

So, I live in a decent neighborhood with a mix of families and young professionals. It's always been a pleasant place to reside, but things took a turn for the worse when I discovered that my neighbor, let's call him "Mr. X," has a rather... unhealthy obsession with, well, let's just say "adult" content.

“this is alas just another film that panders to the image Thompson himself tried to shirk – the reckless buffoon that is more at home on fraternity posters than library shelves. It is a missed opportunity to take the man seriously.”

This is an excellent summary on the attitude of the seeming majority of HST ‘admirers’.
It just makes me think that they read Fear and Loathing, looked up similar stories of HST’s unhinged behaviour and didn’t bother with the rest of his work.

There is such a raw, human element of Thompsons work, showing an amazing mind, sense of humour, critical thinking and an uncanny ability to have his finger on the pulse of many issues of his time.
Booze feature prominently in most of his writing and he is always flirting with ‘the edge’, but this obsession with remembering him more as Raoul Duke and less as Hunter Thompson, is a sad reflection of most ‘fans’; even if it was a self inflicted wound by Thompson himself.
